I'm a writer, editor, and designer living in Seattle.
Writing / editing
Writing
I enjoy and have experience tackling a variety of lengths, mediums, and styles, from product copywriting to music and cultural criticism. Whatever I'm writing, I like to use a rhythmic, conversational style.

Editing
Fundamentally, I consider the editorial process to be a collaboration between the writer and myself. Under the (usually) necessary constraints of brand, medium, and objective, I try to retain the writer's voice and unique style.
photography / design
Beyond web-friendliness, I find the interplay between images and words a fascinating and hugely rewarding creative endeavor. Any of my writing can be accompanied by original photography or graphic design, on request.

Unbearably sad group
Originally Unbearably Sad Records, I created Unbearably Sad Group with Tristan Eden in 2009. It's a music and clothing design label. We added a subsidiary, Ruins Vibes, in 2014).
